This is the part where Cross Promotions get to have a bit of a brag. No biggy guys but we’ve successfully pioneered, from scratch, the world’s #1 male revue show. And no, that’s not a hashtag, that’s the ‘number’ symbol. As in, Cross Promotions’ male revue show, aptly named ‘Australia’s Thunder From Down Under’, is the best male revue show in the whole world. They currently hold a residency at Excalibur Hotel and Casino where they perform 13 sold out shows every damn week. And they’ve been doing that for 20 years straight. That makes them the longest running Australian act in Vegas, ever.
Cross Promotions designed the entire concept from its’ inception. Billy and Jackie formed the show, nurtured it until it was perfection and rolled it out to crowds who absolutely lapped it up. A troupe of hot Aussie guys with abs for days and moves to match? Sheer genius.
Keys to the strip
On July 5 2022, Commissioner Michael Naft presented the show with the ceremonial Key to the Strip at the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign just south of the Excalibur, where “Thunder” takes the stage 11 times every week. July 5 is the anniversary of when Thunder opened at the Excalibur in 2002 and when Thunder opened at the New Frontier in 2001. They have joined the likings of many prominent key-holders such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears.
“Thunder from Down Under has been performing at Excalibur for 20 years and 21 years before that at the New Frontier on the Strip,” Commissioner Naft said. “It is the longest-running male revue worldwide and more than 1 million people have seen this show. Visitors often make reservations months in advance. This is an achievement and a cultural phenomenon that benefits Las Vegas and I’m happy to recognize the show.

It’s a well-documented fact that Billy Cross changed the face of night clubbing in Surfers Paradise.
